Daedalus, Capitol City of Themis.

Estimated Population: 1,430,000 People
Estimated Age: 2.1 Million Years
Mean Radius: 7641.9 km
Surface Area: 733858898.4 km^2 approximately
Surface Composition: 32% Water, 30% Urban Living, 15% Unsettled Woodlands, 5% Unsettled Wastelands, 20% Industrialized Mining.
Average Day: 31 Hours
Average Year: 386.66 Days per rotation
Average Gravity: 1.174 g
Number of Satellites: One, Ariadne.

Description: Regarded as the capitol of Corporatism in the human galaxy, Themis is the capitol planet of the Xenon system. Currently halted in their expansion across the planets surface, a good portion of the planet's surface has been consumed in mining processes in order to harvest minerals, oil, and resources.

Origins and Colonization: Themis was the first planet located and looked to for colonization in 2295 when the Xenon Colonization Movement occurred. Touched down on officially by colonists on March 4th, 2295; the planet was then made up of 32% water, 35% natural lush woodlands, and 33% barren infertile wastelands. The exact nature of the planets sections of wasteland terrain are not fully understood, but it's well understood that these regions are ripe with underground oil reserves that has been acting to fuel the need for oil around the human galaxy. Initial colonization was difficult due to weather conditions, the planet being prone to very frequent sessions of rain. Regardless, small settlements were made after initial touchdowns that soon came to combine into the city now known as 'Daedalus', recorded as the largest city in the Xenon system. It was here where Charles Xenon first rose into favor and power, and eventually founded Xenon Entities Management.

Over the process of time, cities have been primarily built on the wastelands due to flowing criticism towards X.E.M. with their initial treatment of Areta, the fertile planet's nature-loving population branding them as 'nature killers'. The inconvenience of the tactic to try and dodge more potential criticism, has led to mining facilities having to directly exist in the cities themselves in order to get to the oil deposits beneath. This is only a consistent problem with minor to moderately populated cities however, others like Daedalus having been spared the industrialization.

Wild-Life: A similarity in terrain isn't the only thing Themis shares with Areta, but they also share the same wild-life. While Themis' is more confined then Areta's, they are still carefully preserved by the human population. In instances where wild-life numbers grow to be problems, they are commonly relocated to Areta if the situation becomes necessary and warrants it to be done. Some of the more common wildlife of Themis includes the symbolic Areta creatures known as 'Kraken', or the amphibious 'Ningen'.

Alright, I put in the Radius and the Surface Area. I made up the radius in order to properly compute the SA, so I decided to make the planet a more distant from the center of the system's star: as a result, the planet will be less dense, larger, colder, and takes more time to orbit the central star. It's a big, long, cold endurance of the life of corporate capitalism.

Also, fun fact, For the surface area of a sphere, A=4*pi r^2.

Drak, I've also put in a section for how many natural satellites the planet would have. How many moons should it have?

Thinking just one, that being Ariadne.

As for a lot of the measurements, keep in mind that Themis is almost as big as Desertia yet very much like Areta in terms of geography and the like, except for being colder and it's general weather.
