Description: While not technically capable of being a sniper rifle nor an assault rifle, the Winchester 1873 was the result of "Marseux Gun Club" search for suitable manufacturers. The weapon was deemed a failure, but SA ultimately attempted to sell the weapon as a collector's item; after that expectantly failed, they attempted to sell it as a simple and cheap bargain gun. A large cache was purchased en masse, by accident, by a Minerva trade representative who was apparently laid off for the incident. After a series of trades and dispersals through other groups, approximately half the original shipment fell into the lap of XEM. Unable to send it back to SA for a refund, XEM was forced to liquidate it onto the populace, allowing for a cheap, entry-level civilian rifle. Despite its nickname, "the Whine-chester", named so for its frequent jamming, poor construction, and lack of mountable optics, the Winchester 1873 offers a cheap beginner rifle for home defense, personal sport, or as a collector's item for those who love rejects.
