Description: WW3-era Russia was well accustomed to the Nikonov AN94 "Abakan" (The town name, "Abakan", was used as the code name for testing potential AK74 replacements in the 1990s, which is where the AN94 was first tested by the Russian military). Despite a dramatic increase in production costs, the AN94 was mass produced by the Russian government once foreign tensions became palpable on the eve of WW3. Even though IZHMASH had pristine designs for the AN94, in addition to a few workable models, they decided not put them into production for "economic reasons". After a long wait and controversy over IZHMASH's legal dealings, the newly reformed Martin-Medvedev Mechanical Manufacturing decided to launch the AN94 as one of its flagship weapons in order to symbolize their new business and production philosophy: progress, technology, and quality craft before political pandering. As of now, the AN94 is a solid assault rifle whose performance and accuracy impresses everyone who uses it.
